ASRC Industrial Services will be sponsoring a group of ASRC Shareholder students to attend The National Flight Academy July 7th-12th, 2019. The National Flight Academy Deployment is a flagship program which combines the culture and excitement of aviation with 21st century technology and core competencies in an exclusive, entertaining and engaging environment to provide a one of a kind learning adventure for our youth.

Students who have completed 6th grade but have not yet graduated high school are invited to live for six days in a multi-story facility called Ambition. The first deck houses the galley, mess deck, administrative spaces and the main simulator bays. The second deck is compromised of the academic spaces and contains all Simulation and Immersion Center spaces. The third and fourth decks are dedicated student aviator lounges and activity rooms.

Students experience theme-park style thrills surrounded by advanced technology, flight simulators and virtual reality missions that ignite imagination and encourage learning. While living aboard Ambition, Ambition eXperimental Pilots (AXPs) are immersed in life as a Naval Aviator aboard a modern aircraft carrier. Missions progressively become more challenging throughout the week as the AXPs advance their aviation science and communication skills.

The National Flight Academy will take place July 7th-12th, 2019 in Pensacola, Florida with a planned activity day on the 13th in Pensacola, FL.
